Hello!
I'm Michelle. I've been on a spiritual journey for most of my life, but it was also a constant pattern of sickness, trauma and intense life battles. I spent most of my life facing sickness, depression and PTSD.
So, spirituality and my connection to nature has been my guiding light. However, there were many times when I felt like something was missing in life and within myself.
I kept travelling in search of that missing part of me. From one location to the next. First, out of the Country, and then all across parts of Canada. In total, I had moved 19 times in a 5 year span.
After many years of feeling broken and depleted, especially from our health care system, there was one day that I will remember for the rest of my life.
It was the day that I trusted a feeling in my body, a feeling that led me to the path of plant medicine and deeper spiritual practices...That feeling was my intuition.
This moment changed my life path instantly and brought me to where I am today: I was about to embark on another move across the country, excited for a fresh start.
But, as the final weeks approached, illness struck repeatedly, disrupting my plans and creating chaos in my mind.
It was during one particularly challenging moment, while listening to a spiritual healer during my lunch break, that everything changed.
His words resonated deeply, urging me to trust in the universe and follow my intuition.
In a moment of clarity, I made a wild decision that exact day, despite no one agreeing with it.
I canceled everything—a high-paying job, a large signing bonus, a beautiful apartment, and all of my future plans—and surrendered completely to the unknown.
This leap of trusting in the universe led me to very unexpected places. First off was a period where I lived out of my car. My first mission was to drive from city to city across Canada until I found what I was searching for, and I had almost nothing in my possession.
Yet, I was completely content in the unknown. When I arrived at my destination, I landed a job that I thought was out of reach.
Interviews had closed, and I was told by one of the employees that I lacked the necessary skills and experience, as they only hired professionals with full caseloads and 10+ years of experience.
But, my journey took an unexpected turn from there. I was hired on the spot! Actually, I found out they decided to hire me on our first phone call where all we discussed was setting up an interview time!
A few weeks later, I found myself moving into an off-grid cottage with an ocean view, paying very little rent because the owner was drawn to my positive energy.
I secured multiple amazing jobs with no experience, and they offered me pay that exceeded others or matched those who had worked there the longest.
I knew it wasn't just chance guiding me, and it wasn't just luck either. I could feel the universe putting me on a path where I never knew the next step.
And then, I was quickly drawn towards the ancient practice of plant medicine, to go to college to become a Herbalist. Which first hit me with the same electrifying feeling as when I canceled my original plans.
So, just as I was starting to get settled in my life, I knew this was about to change my life - again.
Now, I'm ready to share my experiences and learnings. 'Sacred Herbalism' is a blend of magic and herbal wisdom, offering a glimpse into a life that has been transformed and teachings on how I did it.
